Exchange Club of Walla Walla 'Youths of the Month' Honoree Antonio Hernandez

Exchange Club of Walla Walla honored three seniors from area high schools as its Youths of the Month, during a virtual Zoom meeting on January 11. The honorees included our very own Antonio Hernandez who is currently a High School student at Prescott School District.

Antonio has attended Prescott School District since kindergarten; he is an Honor Society member and also participates in Robotics Club. He has played soccer, basketball and track and was on the State Championship soccer team in 2019. Antonio volunteers at a Pasco daycare and participates in Vista Hermosa community service programs. He plans to study video game design in college. He is the son of Angelina Magallan and Guillermo Hernandez.

Antonio wrote an essay based on the 2020-21 Youth of the Month theme: “I recognize my responsibility in shaping America’s future. I have stepped out of my comfort zone during uncertain times and made a difference. I am part of history and here is where it started.”

We are so proud of our student and we congratulate Antonio on all of his hard work and accomplishments. Antonio is a Tiger role model, and someone for our younger students to look up to.

Antonio will now compete with fellow regional students Katelyn Hassler and Patrick Jones from DeSales Catholic High School, for the $1,000 Exchange Club Youth of the Year college scholarship.
