The Prescott Tigers finished off in 3rd place at the WIAA STATE SOCCER TOURNAMENT. They finished with a miraculous record of 15-2-4.The Tigers were heading into Friday's semi-final game against their arch rivals, the St. George's Dragons with a 7 game winning streak. The Dragons opened up the scoring but Jose Gonzalez tied it up shortly after with a clutch goal. The Dragons scored their 2nd goal of the night in the 2nd half and that proved to be the match winner for the Dragons. The Tigers had an unfortunate loss from a score of 2-1. The Tigers were facing off vs Tacoma Baptist in the 3rd place consolation match Saturday noon. Ivan Figueroa scored the only goal in the 1st half which turned out to be the match winner. The Tigers will be losing many valuable seniors from this season’s team but they have the potential to be a big threat in next year’s tournament.
